I was kind of sad to hear Cal say that he doesn't advise people to follow their passion because Plato and the ancients didn't advise that. Following your passion is a relatively new concept. So? Back then, people were more in survival mode. I definitely followed my passion, and I love my work (cell biology/medical research).

What a beautiful open and present way to be! it seems just right to me that the apple tree outside my window is twitching with a light rain. Would I be correct in saying that this is a strategy that is alive to the moment rather than one that marches forward like Roman soldiers on campaign? lighthearted but earnest and unattached mingling as a kind of Proximity bids… Be in the room where it happens. Be ready to be curious be ready to be surprised. ❤️

I recently went out with a woman I've been talking to for the past five months for the first time. I met her in college and we were too busy to start going out, so we agreed to wait until the summer. Well, she took three jobs this summer and still didn't have much time to go out. We were luckily able to go out one evening because one of her jobs closed temporarily when she was supposed to work, so I decided to take her to dinner and then paint at a local park next to a lake. We asked each other general “get to know you” and dating questions, and we matched on our morals and values. We also matched on the same goals in life and most of the big important things when searching for a relationship. It’s been two weeks, so I asked her out again. She sent me a text explaining that I'm one of the sweetest people she’s ever met, but she felt like we didn't have a romantic connection when we went out (that “spark”). I know from experience this isn’t something to count someone out on after a first date, but I can’t tell her that. We were somewhat friends beforehand and had a few classes together. It just sucks because I felt like if she had more free time to go do stuff so we could bond, we could’ve worked out. But, she told me on the date that I was the fourth person to take her out in the past six years, which was when her first and last relationship ended. She also told me she has a fear of getting too attached to someone, but at the same time has a fear of being alone. She also spoke about her ex quite a bit. I guess I feel like I'm doing everything wrong with this method of dating, but then again she doesn't seem like she’s ready to actively date. My first relationship ended seven months ago, and I never brought her up once while this girl ranted a little about her ex from six years ago. I guess she hasn't coped with what happened yet? Idek why I'm putting this out here. I guess I just want to know what all of you think. Is the “spark” on a first date a make-it-or-break-it scenario, or should people go out with someone a few times before deciding to call something off? And, am I wrong for holding out on a person who is genuinely a good person? (My other options were rude or weren’t looking to date for marriage. Plus, I was very attracted to this person I took out over everyone else). We both just graduated college and are going to be teachers, so our schedules will align in a couple of months. Because of this, I was still willing to hold out since I believed there was potential for something great. Am I dumb? 😂

More time does not equal more work done : Efficient use of limited time often yields better results. 3. Financial goal of 2x income from day job: Setting a goal to make twice your job income from a side hustle gives you cushion and stability and reduces risk. 4. Gradual transition: A gradual shift from employment to entrepreneurship allows for building a sustainable and scalable business model. 5. Identify bottlenecks and double down on

One of the best podcasts i've listened to (here, a huge fan of podcasts): for the Sheehan's perspective (couterintuitive, tangent to mainstream, and so wise and worth exploring these views) and for Ali's questions and re-questions. I've to listen to it a couple of times more, in order to internalize some of its great insights (and catch some more). Congrats to both of you, and the team behind! Thanks so much, and keep on (quality >> quantity)

Cheers, Ali - this was mega helpful. I feel that the interviews that you do which focus around practical advice and information are the things that provide the most value. You were talking about your previous podcasts and making them in to videos - if you created an entire series taking those interviews and summarising the practical steps people could implement to reach those outcome outlined in the interviews, I personally belive that series could be a huge growth channel that ties to the goal of positively impacting the lives of listeners. (This could also be tied to a really cool insta campaign where people show in 60 seconds how the practical advice impacted thier life/businesses which you can also use a data to contribute towards key metrics)

I have listened to your videos for quite some time. Yes, listened. All on UA-cam. I discovered you via a short clip on tiktok about 2 years ago. I also listen to some other creators/entrepreneurs on UA-cam such as Alex Hermoniz, Patrick bet David. I do not buy any of your courses and I like your longer videos such as this one more than your long videos. I never ever put any comment or like any video which I now release is a shame since this feedback is great for you. That is why I also leave this feedback today. I work my day job but I am also working on the side to start my own and "break free". I listen to your videos here on UA-cam whenever I see you have posted something interesting and listen to is in the car, when running, in the gym etc. I don't listen to music, I listen to people who bring value.
